GCI Management is assisting Defranceschi Deutschland GmbH with its restructuring

Defranceschi Deutschland GmbH, based in Mannheim, manufactures stainless steel tanks and accessories—including complete tank systems—for the beverage industry. Following the insolvency of its sister company, Defranceschi SpA, based in Bolzano, the company had to undergo an extensive restructuring process. In addition to operational issues, such as the reorganization of the supplier structure, the focus was primarily on corporate legal and financial matters.

Over a period of approximately two years, the following key measures were implemented with the assistance of GCI Management Consulting GmbH:

• Reaching a settlement with the insolvency administrator of Defranceschi SpA regarding the treatment of outstanding receivables
• Restructuring the liabilities of Defranceschi Deutschland GmbH in cooperation with the lead bank
• Resolution of legacy issues at the shareholder level
• Successful search for a new investor and management buy-in
• Development of a brand and communication strategy

Thanks in part to the support of GCI Management Consulting GmbH, revenue was initially stabilized and then significantly increased again as early as the second fiscal year following the extraordinary situation.
